Halloween 2008

As with every year, we went to Aunt Heather's house for dinner and trick or treating (and imbibing for those adults!). We met our friends the Gills and the Kopanisz's there too! Two wagons, 8 kids, one cooler and whole bunch of candy later - the kids had a great time. For once, Shelby was not a firefighter - we managed to get her into a witch costume!

Bowling - Breaking 100

We went bowling for Shelby's friend Carter's birthday. The bowling place was really nice - down in Fredericksburg. Shelby is so competitive and loves to bowl so she had a great time. Gaga will be happy to know that Shelby broke 100 this time! One strike and a bunch of spares. The other parents were rather amused to see how focused she was as the ball rolled down the lane.

Diving 101

Last week Shelby started her first day of diving class. She wasn't too thrilled with the idea of the 1m board even though we had come by the previous Sunday to at least try it out. She didn't want to jump straight off - but her coach convinced her to try it. Today was day 2 of the saga. We started with tears but as you can see, by the end of class, she said she didn't need Coach Angie's help any more and was working on her basic approach and a drop straight into the water! Next week we are hoping she will try diving in!
